At Cedarhurst of Lebanon, connection with the surrounding rural area is essential to its mission, and our consultant sought to offer artwork and décor selections that reflect this continuity. Integral to its decor are visions of its surrounding landscape.
In the Four Seasons room, abstracted rural art pieces provide continuity with the natural beauty outside of the spacious windows as residents gather together to enjoy a piano, pool table, and coffee bistro. The artwork selections provide a natural extension of these with pictures of barns and field landscapes from rural Missouri that provide the comfort of familiar and pleasant scenes in a peaceful and calming color palette.
In addition, ARCH also provided interior signage and wayfinding solutions to support navigation for residents and visitors. The project encompassed 161 individual signs ranging from directional signage and evacuation maps to room IDs with ADA-compliant raised text, contrasting colors, non-glare finish, and raised braille.
